The full Coalition meets quarterly, in Augusta, and committees meet as needed. There are currently four standing committees: Steering , Provider Issues, Education, Legislative, and Community Coalitions. Ad-hoc committees to accomplish time-limited projects are appointed as needed. The Committees are encouraged to work on projects between Coalition meetings either in person, or by phone or email. Assistance, either through the state's Oral Health Program, an office of the Maine Center for Disease Control & Prevention, Department of Health and Human Services, or from contracted part-time staff, is available to help facilitate the convening of meetings and communication between members and to gather information that is needed by committees.
