Severe Cuts Target Prevention. Call your legislator now or this weekend!
Proposed cuts to the Fund for a Healthy Maine now total $6 million. At least $139,000 is being cut from oral health.
A good portion of the proposed cuts will go to paying off hospital debt. This is not prevention activity! The very premise of the Fund for a Healthy Maine is the enhancement of health and creation of cost savings through disease prevention.
Legislators need to hear from you! Especially those in Leadership and those on the Health and Human Services and Appropriations Committee.
